1. Our topic
   Daily life of  engineering student


 In hanyang university, we can easily see many engineering students who work hard

for their job everyday. It might seem they are satisfied with their daily school life

studying subjects what they wanted to do. However, in reality, most students have

hard time learning and experimenting owing to consistent stresses coming from

difficult tasks and plenty of stuffs to submit until deadline.

 We decided to make documentary that actual hanyang university student currently

majoring engineering acts to show the vivid daily life. By making short and impact

documentary, students can sympathize easily, and look back on their daily life.

2. Composition of Documentary.

(2). Class scene(Concentrating and sleeping)

(3). Library scene(studying)

(4). Ordinary life style (walking, break time)


                                   3. My role

  My role in final project is to act the main theme of our topic.

As I'm actual engineering students of HYU, I felt I could do good job showing lively

scene of students of engineering. Plus, I tried to act every scene almost similar to my

real life. I hope this project can be successful movie which many people who can feel

the fun and interest.

I made a movie with 5 pictures which have important meaning to me.

5 pictures are about freedom, challenge, peace, accomplishment,and nature.

These values seem to be too simple and monotonous stuffs to be considered.

However, not just thinking, by looking the images and feeling the power of pictures, I

totally got moved from the vivid visualization.

The total theme of my movie is precious values for me. Even this videos theme is

created in the view of mine, I think others can surely sympathize with me.

The most impressive picture I think is the one with Mount Everest. When I see this

picture, I naturally feel respect from just looking at it. I think its because human being

is only small existence related to the big universe. In this respect, I feel we have to

save our nature from human beings excessive greed.

Vehicle is one of the essential invention which changed human being life.

Since the industrial revolution, people have used various fossil fuels to get power

to move vehicles. Fossil fuels were really useful and attractive energy for people to

use. However, as time goes by many problems have occurred resulted from this

energy. For example, pollution from this fuel causes many problems for

environment and human health. Plus, the global warming is also affected by

fossil fuels. Thus, many scientists and engineers have decided to develop new

type of energy and technologies to replace the fossil fuels.

There are many alternative way to complement fossil fuel energy problems. 

Among those methods, electricity is one of the most popular and safe technology

which current scientist and technologists are considering.

First, I’ll show the basic concept of electric vehicle.

An electric vehicle (EV), also referred to as an electric drive vehicle, uses

one or electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. An electric vehicle may be

powered through a collector system by electricity from off-vehicle sources, or

may be self-contained with a battery or generator to convert fuel to electricity.

Currently, many car companies are releasing their electric car models.

In February 2011, the Mitsubishi i MiEV became the first electric car to sell more than 10,000

units, including the models badged in Europe as the Citroën C-Zero and Peugeot iOn. Several

months later, the Nissan Leaf overtook the i MiEV as the best selling all-electric car ever.

Good point of Electric Car

(1).Electric Car is an Eco- friendly car

-Different substances coming out from previous gasoline, diesel engine car in the result of chemical reaction

Above two information gives us a clear reasons for us to buy electronic cars to save energy and reduce air pollution.

(2)  Less noises from the car engine

- Energy generation method is different from previous car.

(3)  More economical than previous gasoline& diesel engines

-       Cost for gasoline and diesel engine is more expensive.

-       Fuel efficiency is far better.

-       3hours recharged car can go almost 50km.(66.7km/L)

(4)  Simple design for engineers to design the cars

            

Electric engine system is less complicated than gasoline & diesel engine

(5)  More safe than previous cars regarding car engine explosion accident

No materials to explosive fiercely. Because, electric car uses energy not from substance which is explosive with flame.

Bad point of Electric Car

(1)  Maximum distance which car can go in one recharging is far less than gasoline& diesel engines

-Electric energy is not that powerful than previous explosive engine system.

(2)  Less attractive for people who loves the high power of car

-Sound of engine is different from gasoline & diesel type.

-Less powerful and violent explosive sound.

(3)  Difficulty to have high-tech to store energy safely

-It is dangerous to store energy with safety in small package. Many researchers are investigating methods to store energy with safety.

Possibility of Electric Car to be a main future car

Electric car has lots of good points and bad points itself.

Many people think it has less attractive factors than previous models. That’s why those people consider negative position for this electric car to be future car.

But, I disagree with that opinion. Electric car can surely be successful, helpful and attractive fuels for car. Below, I’ll explain several reasons I believe this future.

First, Clean energy and global warming is an important issue for all human being. As time goes by, more and more pollution resulted from fossil fuel is aggravated. Main cause of pollution is car engine. However, it has low possibility that people use car less than before to go to another place. In this situation, new types of energy generation and less pollution is a compulsory.

Electric car engine system is an answer for this problem. It is easy to design than previous models and exhale only water.

Secondly, this car is economical if it became a main model of car market.

Even though, electric car price in current market is expensive, electric car market grows bigger and bigger, the price of car will decrease. Plus, the cost to maintain and recharging is far less than gasoline and diesel engine.

It is a serious problem for many countries to use petroleum consistently owing to high price. The drastic change f petroleum cost is a main problem which causes world- wide economic disasters. In this respect, electric car model is a wonderful choice for human being to select.

Third, electric car is safer than previous fossil fuel cars.

Safety is number one factor to consider when we buy and select something.

Even design and additional things are interesting for users, rather than those minor stuffs, safe engine system to prevent from explosion when accident occurs is connected directly to the passengers life. In this respect, electric car engine has merits for people to survive with higher percentage.

These three reasons (Eco-friendly, economical, safe) are the main points of reasons I believe that electric car can surely be a main car for the future car market. I hope that people to get more interest of electric car engine system and get more trust for electric car.  

If you use electric cars, not only you and your near people but the people and environment all around the world will be healthy. Plus, vehicle market will be more activated by cultivating new energy sources.

Please have more interests to this new system of vehicle. Then you can earn more time, more energy, and more money for your future life with safety.

Me and my partner had a great time thinking about something close to our daily life 

especially something to drink, and we decided to investigate coffee.

The Picture in the middle is coffee bean which represents the title of this Infographic.

 We chose the color of the background to the light gray to relax viewers eyes to get 

more focused on the contents. Also, the color of the explaining sentences is a light 

gray. We put several types of coffee to be located at left and right side so it helps 

people who see this post to get a total view of at once easily. The title is 'types and 

Sources of the coffee. Below the big picture of coffee bean, we put 3 pictures of the 

coffee sources which are the state of being produced, following the title of my post, 

The color of the individual coffee and the title are both red. It might help the post 

contents to be look coherent. 

The pictures of coffee is not 100% symmetry but have comprehensive feeling. 

Structure is symmetric with left and right side, also the bottom, picture of coffee 

sources are placed in a row. It might be a good choice to show the information with 

stable view.

Introducing comprehensive contents of mechanical engineering

In modern life, almost everything near our daily life is related to the product we bought

for our convenience. For example, smart phone, TV, iPod etc. are things which

occupy our life mostly.  Then, it might be a natural question for us to think how does

this products are made and developed. Engineering and technology is the answer for

this simple question.

Today, I'm going to show you a brief and essential contents of Mechanical

engineering.

Firstly, I'll show you a history  and various filed of of mechanical engineering.  

Mechanical engineering emerged as a field during the industrial revolution in Europe

in the 18th century; however, its development can be traced back several thousand ry

years around the world. Mechanical engineering science emerged in the 19th century

as a result of developments in the field of physics. The field has continually evolved

to incorporate advancements in technology, and mechanical engineers today are

pursuing developments in such fields as composites, mechatronics, and

nanotechnology.

As you can recognize easily, two big point of view exist.

Answer is that macro, and micro engineering science and technology is different from

each other. Because, the physics which explain the movement of both part is quite

different.

To understand the mechanical engineering more deeply, you need to know the

big 4 subjects of mechanical engineering which are easy to know by sense.

There are dynamics, mechanics of materials(statics), thermodynamics, and fluid

mechanics. These subjects show that mechanical engineering is basically based on

classical newton dynamics. Most of you might have heard about F=ma.

I think this simple equation is used in 4 main subject almost every cases.

 Also, this study is really adaptive to other area, so in almost every situation where we

need to make a product, mechanical engineering and technology is used to enhance

the efficiency of the whole system to economize and optimize the design.

This is the most important reason that this study is attractive and essential for

our living.

The new age of Korean Hip-Hop (Hip hop crew 'illinaire')

Recently, many young Korean people wear Hip-Hop style clothes and listen hip-hop

music. I think there are many reasons for this new fashion in K-Pop.

The music programs named 'Show me the money' might be the biggest factor for

this. Korean rappers make their own style by creating hip-hop crew. For example,

not the concept of big agency,  several rappers who pursue similar types of music

style gather together to make new songs and perform with their group.

Famous hip-hop crews are illiniare, High-light records, just music, amoeba culture,

etc.

In this post, I'm going to introduce new hip-hop crew of Korea and the features

of crews music style especially illiniare.

Up Picture is the three man who are the crews of illinaire.

Members are Dok2, The Quiette, Beenzino. This crew was made at 2011 by Dok2 and

The Quiette. Their style is like South Hip-hop using trap music.

Dok2 has his unique voice similar to real USA rappers and various rap skills which are

difficult to copy. As his style is really special, he has many fans and anti people.

He usually write self boosting verses and it might be the reason that he has a lot of

anti-fans.

The Quitte is a rapper and producer. He was originally the member of Soul company

which was the biggest hip hop crew of Korea. He got so many talents from that

experience. His beat has an attractive and addicting features which is really

fascinating. Soul company was the great group which was helpful for the Quitte to

enhance his inherent talents.

 His style of rapping is really simple and tough. He doesn't use lot of fancy

rap skills much. But he has his own soul in his verses talking about his past life when

he had hard time working music. I individually like his rapping style most because of

his genuine verses.

Lastly, Beenzino might probably be the hottest rappers recent days.

He has many lady fans owing to his fashion and handsome face. he get more

and more fans day by day. Different from two rappers of illiniare, he is an elite student

students of Seoul National University which is the most famous in South Korea.

His major is sculpture of art. Similar to his artistic major, his rap style is unparalleled.

His single solo album '24 26' was the start of his own music. In that album, songs like

' Nike shoes', 'aqua man', 'boogie on and on' are the representative lyrics.

The contents are impressive to young ladies and girls as he rap just like he is talking

to his girlfriend. It might be the merit of Beenzino's style of rapping.

From now on, I introduced one of the recent hottest hip hop crew of Korea illinaire.

I hope more and more people can enjoy this culture to show their own opinion

freely to know each others own thoughts to be more advanced society,

I'm sure that enjoying the real bright part of Hip-Hop music might be the shortcut to go that destination.

Last picture is the rapper who I like most named 'Tupac'.

He is a legendary west coast hip hop musician representing tough style of real hip
hop.

Like he said, Life goes and on. I like this verse most.

Though, sometimes it might be a tough time for us, our life just goes on and on.

I'm 24 years old university student majoring in mechanical engineering.

Hanyang University is the school I' m studying at. This university is famous for

engineering department. Many researchers and engineers who are working with

important stuffs are from my university.

Mechanical engineering is one of the most important and essential part of designing

products. Scientific research and mathematical and computer programming abilities

are needed to do our job. For example, when designing a car, we have to know the

dynamics of wheels, types of engines, efficiency of car, and fluid mechanics of

boundary layers. All these things should be considered simultaneously with the

knowledge of mechanical engineering.


Among many areas of mechanical engineering study, I'm especially interested in

combustion and fluid dynamics most.

Recently, South Korea invests a lot of money in to the aerospace technology.

Above all, the key technologies which are difficult to develop are mostly related to

thrust engine.

The upper picture is the launching scene of NARO-HO which is the first own satellite

of South Korea.

After graduating from undergraduate school, I'm going to study more in graduate

school at USA to be a specialist of Aerospace technology.
